The Midwifery Folklorist™ Oral Archive & Lunar Gathering Space gathers in sacred circle virtually on the New & Full Moon, at 4am CST, to honor, celebrate, unearth, preserve, share & archive the wise, sacred and profound cultural ways, practices and paths of ancestral Indigenous & Priestess Midwives.
The first Midwifery Folklorist™ Oral Archive & Lunar Gathering Space honors the legacy of Laura Carr, a Gullah Geechee Grand Midwife who dedicated her life to guiding mothers and babies through the sacred passage of birth. Her story is a testament to the resilience, wisdom, and spiritual power of Black midwives whose traditions have sustained generations despite systemic erasure.
